Dhami meets former CMs on the occasion of Holi

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the former CMs Harish Rawat, Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Trivendra Singh Rawat at their residences on Thursday on the occasion of Holi. The CM had met former CMs Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Teerath Singh Rawat on Wednesday to extend his wishes. 

The CM also hosted a Holi Milan programme at his residence on Thursday in which many senior leaders, officers of the State administration and folk astrists from all parts of the State participated. In the programme the artists danced to the tunes of Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsari folk songs and music. 

Folks dancers from Jaunsar performed the Harul while women artists from Lohaghat areas sang and danced to Holi songs.

 A group of artists from the Rath area of Pauri district was a special attraction on the ocassion. This group which was performing in different areas of Dehradun from last two days highlighting the problem of migration and other issues was invited specially by the CM . 

Folk artists of Tharu tribe also enthralled the Holi revellers on the occasion. A lively Chholiya dance was performed by artists from Almora.

Completely immersed in Holi colours and festive mood the CM actively participated the festivities with the folk artists. He appreciated the performers, danced with them, and tried his hand at traditional instruments like the Dhol and Thali.
