The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dahami met the Congress’s Kichha MLA and former state cabinet minister Tilak Raj Behad on Saturday, deepening speculation over the MLA’s crossover to the saffron party. It is being speculated in the political circles that Behad has his eyes trained on the Nainital-Udhamsinghnagar Parliamentary seat. He is also supposed to be eager to help his son contest from the Kichha seat on BJP ticket. According to the political observers, he is being given importance by the BJP because of his clout in the Terai region of the state.
