Dhami meets PM, apprises him about grounding of investment proposals

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the national capital on Thursday. In the meeting the CM apprised the PM about the efforts the State government is making for grounding of the investment proposals inked during the recent Global Investors Summit-2023.
He also informed the PM about the endeavour of the State government for developing Uttarakhand into a world class wedding destination. Dhami also updated Modi about the progress of Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, development of Haridwar- Rishikesh, Ganga corridor and extension of air services in the State.
He said that the state government is making the ‘House of Himalayas’ brand more effective so that a better platform to the local artists and products is made available. The brand was inaugurated by PM Modi during his last visit to the state as an umbrella brand for processing, packaging and branding of local products.
The CM requested that additional 400 MW of electricity should be allotted to the State from the thermal power stations of the central pool. He said that new train services should start between Tanakpur- Dehradun, Tanakpur- New Delhi and Dehradun- Haridwar via Ramnagar. Dhami also requested that the approval for upgrading Dehradun airport Jollygrant should be given and regular maintenance of Chinyalisaur airstrip in Uttarkashi district should be done by the Indian Air Force. The CM also requested for approval for the development and construction of hydro power projects in the State.
He said that the work executive agency should be appointed for transfer of the assets in broadening of Pilibhit- Khatima highway and the Public Works Department (PWD) should be made the executive agency for construction of two lane tunnel to Mussoorie. The CM also demanded that the Tanakpur- Bageshwar rail project should be declared as a national project and the union government should bear its entire cost of construction.
In the meeting the CM told the PM about the roads, power projects and plan for development of new townships in the State. He also informed about the Uttarakhand State Millet Mission and Mukhyamantri Ghasyari Kalyan Yojana.
He said that Uttarakhand has started the Namo Sahkari Kawach Card scheme for the safety of families associated with cooperative movement in the State.
Dhami presented PM the artworks made of copper by the artists of Bageshwar.
