Officials directed to deliver on plan drafted to ensure welfare of State and citizens

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a ‘three-pilarred and nine-point’ programme for achieving a balance between economy and ecology in the State. A considerable time after talking about the balance between economy and ecology, the Planning department has drafted a ‘strrategy’ focusing on three pillars- community, empowerment campaign, innovation and technical campaign along with financial independence and literacy campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to a developed India requires special contribution by all citizens. “The State government is laying special focus on environmental balance along with development. All the departments should work efficiently on the three-pillared and nine-point strategy launched today. All the departments should make a resolution on the occasion of Navratri and work forward towards development while achieving a balance between economy and ecology,” Dhami opined.
Officials said that a three-pointed strategy has been made for each of the ‘three pillars’. The first pillar which entails community empowerment campaign includes revival of traditional practices, behavioural change for adequate consumption and skill development among youth. The second ‘pillar’- innovation and technical campaign includes encouraging green technology, swift resolution based on technology and secular economy. The third ‘pillar’ of financial independence and literacy campaign includes standardisation of green practices, involvement for carbon credit and strategy for bridge funding for sustainable projects.
Chief secretary Radha Raturi, additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary (Justice) Pradeep Pant, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretaries, Shailesh Bagauli, Dilip Jawalkar, BVRC Purushottam and other officials concerned were also among those present in the meeting.
