Dhami to start NEP-2020 implementation in U’khand today

Bal Vatikas in the Anganwadi centres to be opened as per the provisions of NEP
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 would be implemented in Uttarakhand from Tuesday. The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami would formally announce the implementation of the NEP-2020 in Uttarakhand by inaugurating Bal Vatikas at the education directorate on the day. These Vatikas would be opened in the Anganwadi centres of the state as per the provisions of the NEP-2020. In the initial phase, Bal Vatikas would be opened in 5,000 Anganwadi centres in the state.
The education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that by inauguration of Bal Vatikas on Tuesday by the hands of CM Dhami, Uttarakhand would become the first state in the country to implement the NEP-2020. He said that the Bal Vatikas would be inaugurated in all parts of the state by MLAs in presence of local representatives in the earmarked co-located Anganwadi centres in all the blocks on the day. The minister said that there are 20,067 Anganwadi centres in the state and in the first phase these Vatikas would start functioning in 5,000 centres. He said that 14,555 Anganwadi workers, 14,249 Anganwadi assistants and 4941 mini Anganwadi workers are working in the state. He said that the children would be taught in the Bal Vatikas of Anganwadi centres as per the provisions of the NEP-2020 and the syllabus for this has been prepared. The Minister added that the education department has made all the preparations for implementation of NEP in the state.
