Dhami warns officers against unnecessary closure of complaints on CM Helpline -1905

Warning the officers against unnecessary special or force closure of complaints, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that they should ensure prompt, timely and satisfactory resolution of public complaints on CM Helpline- 1905. He gave the order while reviewing the CM Helpline -1905 at the State secretariat on Monday.

In the meeting, the CM directed that the district magistrates concerned should review the complaints received in the districts and ensure their prompt resolution. He said that the reasons for the repeated receipt of complaints of the same nature should also be analysed and effective action should be taken to permanently resolve such problems.

He also directed DMs to conduct surprise inspections of Tehsils and ensure that cases related to mutation are being resolved within the stipulated time frame. “Public problems related to land fraud should be resolved on a priority basis. The public should not have to make unnecessary rounds of offices for revenue-related matters and that prescribed services should be available to them in a timely manner,’’ he said. Stating that availability of clean drinking water is the top priority of the State government, the CM said that immediate action should be taken on complaints related to drinking water. He directed the officers to audit pipelines and sewer lines within 15 days and submit a report.  On a stern note, the CM said that special attention should be paid to resolving complaints pending for more than 30 days. “Secretaries, department heads and DMs should regularly review pending complaints at their level. Accountability should be fixed for officials concerned with complaints that are not resolved within the stipulated time frame,’’ he said.

The CM curtly told the officers that long-pending complaints be resolved on top priority. In the meeting a presentation on department-wise status of complaints pending for more than 180 days was made. He said that the system for feedback on complaints received on the CM Helpline should be made more effective. A system has been established on the portal for receiving feedback from the public and monitoring the actions taken by various departments and nodal officers, he said. In the meeting, the CM also interacted with some complainants and inquired about their problems and the actual status of their complaints.

Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, L Fanai, R Meenakshi Sundaram, secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, DGP Deepam Seth, head of forest force Kapil Lal, heads of various departments and all DMs attended the meeting.
