The completion of five years of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in office caught the attention of the netizens as the #DhamiKe5Saal became the number one political trend on social media on Saturday. The hashtag reached the top spot nationally on X, which reflected the interest of people in CM Dhami.
Political analysts point out in the last five years Dhami has taken a number of steps which helped in making a popular leader in the country.
Under his leadership, Uttarakhand became the first State in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), enact strict anti-copying law and anti-conversion laws. His decision to abolish the Madrasa Board and action against the land Jihad also became a talking point in the country.
“#DhamiKe5Saal becoming the top trend at the national level is an indication that the discussion on the development journey of Uttarakhand and its focus on good governance is no longer limited to the State, but is being seen as a positive example in the entire country,’’ said a BJP leader.
