Cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat and Garhwal MP Anil Baluni participated in a Holi Milan programme on the banks of Alaknanda river in Srinagar on Thursday.
The programme was attended by large number of people.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Rawat said that our cultural heritage and folk arts have always supported human values and interests. He said that our festivals enliven the society and create an atmosphere of social harmony. Garhwal MP Baluni said that the Holi is festival of colours and social harmony and love.
The two leaders greeted the people on the occasion of Holi and were immersed completely in festivities.
Former district president of BJP Sushma Rawat, Maya Upadhyaya, district president Kamal Kishore Rawat and others attended the programme.
