Dhanuka Family Trust celebrates advent of Vikram Samvat with ex- President Kovind

The Dhanuka Family Trust led by its chairman R G Agrawal celebrated the advent of the Hindu New Year Vikram Samvat 2082 in the presence of the former President of India Ram Nath Kovind and a galaxy of renowned personalities in various fields. The celebration was marked by a spiritual and cultural homage paid to Lord Krishna. The renowned Madhavas Band presented a special performance. Among other dignitaries present at the event were the Union Minister, Arjun Ram Meghwal; Member of Parliament, Jagdambika Pal and the former chairman of the National Green Tribunal Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel who is also the former Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. This aside, a number of policymakers, agricultural scientists, industrialists and authors were present.
Addressing the gathering, Agrawal dwelt on the significance of agriculture, sustainability and India’s agrarian heritage in shaping the country’s economic and cultural prosperity. He reaffirmed the Dhanuka Family Trust’s commitment to nation-building, sustainable farming and the empowerment of Indian farmers, ensuring that Bharat continues to flourish as a global leader in agriculture and cultural harmony.
He also appreciated the Union Finance Minister’s initiative in officially gathering input on empowering farmers through the reduction of GST on agricultural essentials. “Such measures will benefit farmers by enabling them to purchase crop protection solutions with proper billing, ensuring transparency and affordability,” he said, adding that Indian farmers should be equipped with cutting-edge technology in the crop protection and crop solution sectors, enabling them to enhance productivity per hectare at par with the Global North and other developed agricultural economies.
