Dhasmana flags off e- vehicles in SRHU campus

Moving forward on the idea of green campus, the vice chancellor of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Vijay Dhasmana flagged off two e-vehicles for in-house transportability on Wednesday.
These electric vehicles will be used for official tasks within the university campus.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the initiative is part of a larger plan of the university to create a sustainable, healthy, living, learning environment. “A green campus is what we are committed to. Being an institution of higher education this initiative is synonymous with huge social responsibility. Our endeavour at SRHU is constantly focused on transforming our university into a place where education combines with sustainable and eco-friendly practices,’ Dhasmana said.
The university Transport Manager, Rupesh Mehrotra maintained that about 4-5-units of electricity would be consumed to recharge these vehicles and after it they can run for about 100 kms. The chief medical superintendent (CMS) Dr SL Jethani and others were present on the occasion.
