Digital India empowering the common people: CM Dhami

 Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that India is not only the consumer of technology but has also played an active role in development and implementation of the new technology. He said that India was dependent on other countries during 2G, 3G and 4G but with the advent of 5G it is setting up global standards in the field of telecom technology. The CM said that digitisation is taking place at a fast pace in the country and digital India is an important part of the broad vision of development of the country. 

The CM was speaking at the inauguration of the local office of Hexaware Technology at Doon Business park, Transport Nagar here on Saturday. He said that the country is making rapid progress in the field of technology which is helping people to become self-reliant. Digital India is providing a market to the small entrepreneurs, traders and artisans. People are making UPI payments in markets, mandis and roadside vendors. The change in the life of common people is clearly visible.

He said that India has made progress in the sector of digitisation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the last six years ,UPI has become an important part of our economy and habits. Dhami said that efforts are being made to improve use of technology and systems in the State.

 He expressed hope that the new office of Hexaware Technology will prove to be a milestone in the extension of IT services in the State.

The Dharampur MLA Vinod Chamoli, secretary Shailesh Bagauli, ITDA director Nikita Khandelwal, executive vice president of Hexaware Technologies Hemant Vij and others were present on the occasion.
