Diksha Samvad organised at KU’s Bhimtal campus

In latest news from Uttarakhand, a special initiation dialogue programme (Diksha Samvad) was organised at Sir J C Bose Technical Campus of Kumaun University, Bhimtal for the new students of Pharmacy, Management Studies and Biotechnology and Community College running in the campus admitted in the session 2024-25. While interacting with the students, the vice- chancellor Prof Diwan Singh Rawat announced the release of prize money to those teachers who publish research papers involving students as part of the continuous efforts being made to promote research in the university.
The students asked questions regarding various schemes of the university to promote research along with the option of internship with various industrial units, along with campus placement of students. The questions also pertained to educational tours and the university’s schemes to promote research and innovation as well as the university’s schemes for the mental health of the students. Plus, they asked questions regarding starting a new startups in the university and about the contribution of students in social development.
Various cultural programmes based on local culture were also performed by the newly admitted students.
