Disaster affected Paingarh villagers want rehabilitation

The villagers of the disaster affected Paingarh village of Tharali tehsil of Chamoli district have requested the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to facilitate their rehabilitation. The village was hit by a disaster on October 21 this year in which four members of a family had died and one person was injured.
In a letter written to the CM, the villagers said that landslides have been taking place for the last many years in the Ruptoli Tok and Palla Khola of Paingarh village in which many houses and cow shelters have got damaged. They said that rocks are continuing to slide behind their homes after the disaster of October 21 and they are forced to live in the tents provided by the administration. The villagers said that the fields have got completely damaged and they are living in an atmosphere of fear. In the letter the villagers of the disaster affected village said that since their livelihood has been affected and no one is safe in the village, they should be relocated to a safer place.
