Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested the defence minister Rajnath Singh to dissolve the Cantonment Boards of Ranikhet and Lansdowne and transfer the land outside the military stations to the State administration. Dhami made this request when he went to meet Singh in New Delhi on Saturday.
The CM said that since Ranikhet and Lansdowne are not strategically important cantonments, they should be dissolved on a basis of priority.
