In latest news from Uttarakhand, a two-day eye camp was organised in the District Hospital, Uttarkashi under the direction and guidance of the chief medical officer, Uttarkashi, Dr R C Arya and the nodal officer, Blindness Prevention Programme, Dr Birendra Singh Pangti. As per the organisers, senior eye surgeon, Dehradun Dr Chirag Bahuguna and eye surgeon, District Hospital, Uttarkashi Dr Snigdha Joshi examined 217 patients who reported ophthalmic problems. Besides, cataract operations were conducted on 63 patients who came from far-away places. In the camp, Dr Bahuguna gave detailed information to all the patients on how to take care of their eyes, post-operation. Free medicines and spectacles were also distributed among the patients.
