DM approves development schemes worth Rs 2.65 Cr for Uttarkashi

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Uttarkashi district magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht approved three proposals sent by municipal council Barahat which will be executed at a total cost of over Rs two crore. These are the reconstruction of Pt Govind Ballabh Pant Park, development of Tambakhani area as a green belt and construction of vendors zone and three smart toilets in Joshiyada.
Notably, on the instructions of the DM, the Barahat civic body had prepared proposals for several schemes to beautify the district headquarters Uttarkashi as well as to provide quality public facilities, proper disposal of town’s garbage and creation of a vendors zone for the traders to set up stalls.
The DM also instructed the officials concerned to immediately rebuild the Pt Govind Ballabh Pant Park which had been damaged by the 2012-13 disaster.
