The district magistrate Karmendra Singh directed the officials concerned to identify the companies involved in production of psychotropic and narcotics medicines while chairing an administrative meeting here on Friday. He stressed on launching vigorous drives against the fake warehouses and companies running only on paper. A three-member joint team comprising the CO, Sadar; senior drug inspector and a senior representative from the district-based industries was formed at the behest of the DM to probe such warehouses and companies.
The DM also said that the administration would under no circumstances allow psychotropic drugs and narcotics be supplied to any company in excess of the prescribed quota, adding that stern legal actions should be taken against the violators of the rules.
