The Chamoli district magistrate, Gaurav Kumar reviewed the proposed ropeway project to Hemkund Sahib and the improvement works involving the Auli ropeway at a meeting held here on Tuesday. He directed the Tourism department to expedite the process of identifying and acquiring the land-private, revenue or forest- so that the implementation of the project starts at the earliest.
The additional district magistrate, Vivek Prakash stated at the meeting that a committee had already been formed for the construction of the Hemkund Sahib ropeway and things were progressing fast.
