Chamoli district magistrate Himanshu Khuraa has directed the executing agencies to increase manpower and expedite works being undertaken as part of preparations for the Char Dham Yatra and the Badrinath masterplan. After chairing a meeting with the officials, he inspected the temple compound, Saket intersection, riverfront, Badrish and Sheshnag lakes and the arrival plaza in Badrinath. He also directed the officials to prepare a separate route for removing debris. He said that shops should be allocated on priority basis to those whose shops have been removed.
The officials informed the DM in detail about the construction works. Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee vice chairman Kishor Panwar, sub divisional magistrate Kumkum Joshi, officials of PWD and other departments were also present on the occasion.
