In latest news from Dehradun, while conducting a public hearing, the district magistrate Sonika directed the Tehasildar Sadar to make on-ground inspection of the alleged land encroachment in Danda Lakhond area and submit a detailed report. Also, she ordered the Tehsildar Vikasnagar to send report within 24 hours on a land-related complaint involving Sudhowala. Most of the complaints presented in the public hearing related to land while some were related to erratic water supply, deprivation in government housing schemes, education, irrigation, electricity and MDDA. As one of the attendees raised a matter which fell within the jurisdiction of the Haridwar DM, Sonika called up her Haridwar counterpart and requested him to address the complaint and do the needful.
