The district magistrate, Tehri, Mayur Dixit met the representatives of all the recognised political parties and discussed updating and revision of the electoral rolls involving the district. He said that such discussions had been conducted on the instruction of the Election Commission of India.
Besides, the progress of distribution of voter photo identity cards and determination/amendment/change of polling stations figured in the meeting. Suggestions about the conduct of elections by the political parties were also discussed.
Several senior district administration officers, including the additional district magistrate, were present at the meeting.
