In latest news from Uttarakhand, the district magistrate, Tehri, Mayur Dixit listened to the problems of the villagers while holding a night chaupal at gram panchayat Nakot under Chamba block. This, he said, was held to mark the completion of three years of the Pushkar Singh Dhami government 2.0, adding that such night night chaupals which began on March 22 would continue till March 30. He urged the villagers to share developmental suggestions with the district administration to be incorporated in the plan for the Financial Year 2025-26. Explaining why such meetings were being held in the night hours, Dixit said that this was to facilitate the villagers to attend them after their daily work was over. “Besides, we do not to get the routine administrative work affected in any way,” he added.

The DM during his interaction with the villagers focused on several matters related to
MNREGA, social welfare and child development, medical facilities, agriculture, irrigation, electricity, education and drinking water.
