The Nainital district magistrate Vandana inspected the under-construction Jamrani Dam project site on Wednesday. She met the affected people and listened to their problems. A camp was held to rectify the faults in the documents of the affected people. She directed the officials concerned to work with caution at the construction site so that no one is inconvenienced directly or indirectly. Further, she said that the chief development officer would constitute a team of various departments to prepare an action plan after conducting a detailed survey to provide development benefits to the families living outside the submergence areas. Besides, solar lights and wire fencing would be installed in these areas, the DM said.
