In latest Uttarakhand news, during a public hearing organised at the Haldwani-based camp office of the Nainital district magistrate Vandana, the DM took serious note of the people’s complaints related to drinking water scarcity, dilapidated roads, frequent power outages, pension, encroachment, financial assistance and fraud among others.
Stressing most on the drinking water scarcity issue, the DM asked the Jal Sansthan officers to conduct a detailed check of the motor, stabilizer and other equipment of the old pump house so as to resolve the recurrent problem. She also listened to the complaint of rain water gushing into houses and shops on Jamrani Road. She directed the city magistrate and the executive engineer Irrigation to conduct on-site inspection and solve the problem at the earliest.
