In latest Uttarakhand news, the Nainital district magistrate Vandana while conducting public hearing programme in her camp office ordered a magisterial probe into the recent death of a teacher in road accident and said that the person to be found guilty would be booked. Besides, taking a serious note of the washing away of the embankments of the Gaula and Nadhaur rivers, she asked the sub-divisional magistrate Haldwani to investigate and said that actions would be taken on receipt of the probe report. The residents of the Durgapalpur Parma village apprised the DM of the encroachment of the main road and the canal of the village and requested the DM to remove the encroachments. The DM assured them of administrative actions.
