DM orders report on pending CM Helpline grievances

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE /Dehradun
The Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Chauhan on Monday directed officials concerned to submit reports within two days on complaints pending on the CM helpline for 36 to 180 days.
He said that such complaints should not be closed only by updating their status on the helpline portal. Officials must ensure that the actual grievance mentioned in the complainant is resolved. He also directed officers to personally monitor the long-pending complaints and update the administration about the action taken.
The DM further ordered that a certificate be submitted for every complaint that is force closed. The certificate must mention the action taken and the actual status of the complaint. “No complaint should be closed without proper action and a valid reason,” he added.
During the meeting, Chauhan also reviewed the chief minister’s announcements pending since 2025. He directed officials to issue show cause notices to officers responsible for delays.
Officials were also asked to prepare clear action plans and timelines for pending works.
