The Dehradun district magistrate Sonika has ordered the sub divisional magistrate to act on the complaint in which a local from the Sauda Saroli area has accused the Patwari of damaging Panchayat land in the area in connivance with others. The DM received this complaint during the public hearing on Monday. She received 108 complaints including land disputes, land demarcation, encroachment, misuse of government funds and issues of senior citizens among others.
Besides this, she also received complaints against the works of various departments like the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD), MDDA and Education among others. She also directed the officials concerned to take action against the complaints on time and update the complainants about the progress regarding their complaints to ensure they do not have to worry unnecessarily.
A woman had also arrived at the hearing to express her gratitude. According to her, she had approached DM and told her that she belongs to Vikasnagar’s Ajitnagar locality but currently lives in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She had claimed that after the death of her father here, some people had transferred her share of land in the name of others through forged records. She said that appropriate action was taken on the orders of the DM so she came to express her gratitude.
