The Dehradun district magistrate Sonika has directed the revenue department to conduct a survey of Doiwala’s Tongiyo village which the government is considering to declare a revenue village. She said that the administration has received a proposal from The Sub-Divisional Forest Rights Committee of Doiwala Tehsil to declare Tongiyo, Sattiwala, Dalipnagar, Balkwari and Chandi villages of Doiwala block as revenue villages.
A meeting was held on Tuesday to discuss the proposal. The administration has formed a sub-division level committee in this regard. The DM on Tuesday directed officials of the Revenue department to conduct a survey of Tongiya and submit its report to the committee.
She also asked the committee members to present a detailed report to the administration on the basis of the survey report. She discussed the proposal with the officials in the meeting and directed the district welfare officers, committee members and other departments concerned to work in coordination to ensure work is completed on time.
