Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal instructed all sub-divisional magistrates on Thursday to present detailed reports on the operation of unregistered Madarsas within the district. He directed the officials concerned to conduct a comprehensive survey in coordination with the district Minority Welfare officer and the Education department.
He said that necessary actions must be taken in compliance with regulations if they find any violations during the survey. Bansal said that checking all documentation, including details of both registered and unregistered Madarsas as well as other educational centres operating within the respective Tehsils, is the need of the hour, especially considering minors safety and future.
He directed the officials to ensure that the reports ensure compliance with established standards in registered Madarsas, covering aspects such as adherence to the NCERT curriculum, provision of mid-day meals, sanitation, lighting arrangements and basic facilities. He said that the authorities are expected to compile and submit detailed and accurate reports to facilitate prompt and appropriate action in the matter, he said.
