DM releases Rs 77.30 lakh for enhancing facilities in Tyuni

The district magistrate Savin Bansal approved Rs 77.30 lakh to address deficiencies identified during his inspections of the hospital, girls’ hostel and Pt Shiv Ram Government Degree College in Tyuni.
Stating this, the DM said that Rs 54.45 lakh has been allocated for purchasing an X-ray machine, an ultrasound machine, a room heater, an electric kettle, pillows and a three-seater chair and also for hiring one ward boy through outsourcing as well as deploying a cleaner. “These improvements in hospital facilities will provide the people easier access to services,” he said.
Additionally, Rs 17.95 lakh has been released for the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and the girls’ hostel to purchase study tables, furniture, equipment, a roti maker, internet-related equipment and a digital board. Similarly, Rs 4.90 lakh has been allocated to Pandit Shiv Ram Government College in Tyuni for enhancing facilities such as the library, reading room, computers, internet access and furniture.
Bansal further instructed the chief medical officer (CMO) to ensure that all arrangements are visible on the ground before his next inspection.
To better serve the community, the radiologist will now be available at the community health centre for two days a month against just one day previously.
Along with the approval of the new X-ray and ultrasound machines, the DM has also assigned a radiologist from Mussoorie Hospital to work for two days a month.
