The Dehradun district magistrate Sonika held a meeting to review the preparations for the Global Investors Summit which is scheduled to be held in Dehradun on December 8 and 9. The meeting was attended by all the officials of the departments concerned which are nominated by the administration to make suitable arrangements for the summit. She asked the officials to complete the work in due time and inform the administration if they find any issues while making any arrangements.
She also directed the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) to ensure all works regarding cleanliness and installation and repair of street lights are being done. She asked the corporation to ensure roads and footpaths are free from encroachment and that all the works are being monitored by senior officials regularly. If any department is facing any kind of difficulty while carrying out their duty, they should immediately bring it to the notice of the administration to ensure proper action can be taken for the timely completion of the works, the DM added.
