A review meeting of multiple schemes being run by the education departments of the Centre and State government was held here on Friday. Chairing the meeting, the district magistrate Mayur Dixit directed all the BEOs under the NIPUN Bharat programme to implement such schemes till the fifth standard. He also stressed on children working in various construction projects being identified and included in these schemes. While reviewing the PM Shri Yojana, the DM said that the BEOs should visit these schools every month and increase the students’ enrollment. Under the PM Poshan Yojana, the BEOs must include iron-rich vegetables in the diet and check the edible items being served.
The district’s chief education officer S P Semwal said that a survey of 140 schools had been done on digital literacy.
