Although selling or serving alcohol to minors is strictly prohibited, many bars and pubs in Dehradun frequently violate this rule, often failing even to check IDs. Considering this, the Dehradun district magistrate Savin Bansal will also take strict action against such offenders. He said that the administration has received numerous complaints about certain establishments allowing underage drinking. As part of the drive that commenced late on Tuesday, he emphasised that the administration will also tackle this issue and enforce strict action against any offenders. He said that this operation marks the beginning of ongoing enforcement against nightlife establishments violating the set regulations.
