The Dehradun district administration in association with Dehradun Smart City Limited (DSCL) will select the winners of the second weekly lucky draw of Covid Vaccination Mela today to reward those locals who got their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine after October 17.
In the first weekly lucky draw of the fair on October 23, 23 people won rewards like smartphones, tracksuits, induction stove, shoes and clothes and 18,000 people have taken the second dose within one week. With the catchphrase of the fair, ‘Festivals are fun only when the second dose is done’, the district magistrate and the chief executive officer (CEO) of DSCL, R Rajesh Kumar said that this fair was organised to encourage people to take their second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine during the ongoing festive season.
He said that the administration aims to achieve a 100 per cent vaccination target by November 30 and the fair is actually encouraging people to get vaccinated as soon as possible. He said that the people who got vaccinated during this period will also get a chance to win big rewards like a refrigerator and LED television among others through the mega lucky draw on Dhanteras next week.
