In latest news from Uttarakhand, the district magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht met those injured in the bus accident that occurred on the Gangotri national highway. Three women had died and 26 people had been injured in the mishap while they were returning to Uttarkashi. While 17 of the injured, including five minors, were admitted to the AIIMS Rishikesh nine are being treated at the Uttarkashi district hospital. The DM met the injured passengers there and assured them of all possible assistance from the administration. They were recovering, a district administration officer said.
Notably, the DM and the SP had been present at the district hospital till late night and kept monitoring the treatment of the injured and the process of shifting the seriously injured to AIIMS Rishikesh.
