The land dispute pending for years was finally resolved with the intervention of district magistrate Savin Bansal. Informing about this, Bansal said that in a recent Janata Darbar, the complainant, Ummed Singh, raised concerns about the illegal occupation of his son Utpal Singh’s private land and requested demarcation of the property.
Bansal stated that he took immediate action upon receiving the complaint. On April 6, Singh returned to the Jan Darshan to express that no decision had been made regarding the demarcation of his land. Singh emphasised that the demarcation work was being delayed, causing him significant mental distress due to a lack of cooperation, DM added.
In response, DM summoned the Doiwala Tehsil administration and instructed them to submit a report on the matter by April 7, 2026, following his earlier directives. According to the subsequent report, Singh had applied, prompting the Tehsildar of Doiwala to provide an investigation report on July 26, 2025. Both parties were later informed by a letter dated September 25, 2025, that the demarcation process would be completed according to regulations after the harvest.
