Don’t get frightened by the exams: CM Dhami to students

Interacts with students of Tharu Government Inter College in Khatima, Udham Singh Nagar

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami became nostalgic when he visited his Alma mater, the Tharu Government Inter College in Khatima on Wednesday. During his visit to the Udham Singh Nagar district the CM attended a discussion on examination with the students of his old school.

A visibly emotional Dhami told the students that he used to sit on the mat on the floor for studies and used the slate. He said that his school has a major role in his development and achievements.

Dhami told the students that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has guided the students in dealing the examination related stress. He suggested that the students should read the book, ‘examination warriors, Parkisha par Charcha’ to remove stress.

The CM also interacted with the students and answered their queries. Student Astavi Raj told the CM that her anxiety level is increasing as the examinations are getting closer and asked how she can do time management to cover all subjects. CM told her that she should get frightened with examinations and suggested that she should devote more time to the tough subjects and hold discussions with teachers and friends on them. Dhami said that he too had been average students and opined that we should not consider any subject tough. He said that a person is the best time manager for himself and suggested that the students should include exercise and sports in their daily lives.

 In response to a question asked by Mohammad Rehan on the option they should choose after class XII, the CM said that every students should definitely think what he wants to do in future and said that one should opt a carrier which is of interest.

 The CM satisfied the queries of the students on examination phobia, time management, hesitation, dealing with negative thoughts and changes the education system has undergone.

The CM announced that the auditorium of the school would be modernized, the main building would be repaired and the school’s play ground would be beautified. The district magistrate of US Nagar Yugal Kishore Pant, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manjunath TC, CDO Vishal Mishra, Chief Education Officer RC Arya and others were present on the occasion.
