To make the students aware of the precautions to be taken to prevent dengue, Doon Cambridge School conducted a special assembly on Monday. The chief education officer of Dehradun Pradeep Kumar visited the school campus on this occasion. He spoke of the important roles the teachers and the students could play in spreading awareness to curb the spread of this deadly vector-borne disease. The principal of the school Monika Pande said that the students were sensitised about the warning signs and symptoms of dengue. They were also asked to wear full sleeve clothes and drain out excess water from flower pots, she said, adding that English and Hindi skits, highlighting the importance of cleanliness, were staged by middle and senior section students on the occasion.
