Doon-Delhi expressway to increase trade & tourism: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an inspection of the construction works of Delhi-Dehradun expressway at Daat Kali temple, Dehradun on Monday. He said that after the completion of this expressway, the journey between Dehradun and Delhi will be completed in just two to two and a half hours.
During his visit, the CM met the senior officers concerned and sought inputs about the modern technologies and environmental safety measures being used in the construction of the expressway.
He said that the construction of the expressway is in its final stage and soon it will be opened for the public.
Dhami expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport minister Nitin Gadkari for the speedy construction of the expressway.
He said that the expressway will make the movement of people easier and it will be more convenient for the devotees visiting the State for the Char Dham Yatra.
The CM added that the project will also prove to be helpful in increasing the economy of Uttarakhand, promoting tourism and business activities. He said that Asia’s longest wildlife corridor has also been built in the expressway by coordinating ecology and economy. This corridor will ensure the protection of wildlife and make their movement free and completely safe, he said.
