Doon police finds missing minor in Delhi

The Dehradun police found a 16-year-old girl, a resident of Rishikesh in Delhi who went missing after leaving a suicide note at her home last week.The police said that the girl’s father had lodged a missing complaint on January 14 that his daughter had gone missing and despite searching at all possible places, they could not find her. The police found out during the investigation that the girl had left a suicide note at home. Considering the sensitivity of the matter and the possibility of any untoward incident, the senior superintendent of police Daleep Singh Kunwar formed a special team to find the missing girl as soon as possible. The police said that the team interrogated relatives and neighbours of the girl besides checking footage of the CCTV cameras installed near the house. The police also conducted a search campaign across Rishikesh besides Haridwar and Dehradun and also placed pamphlets of the missing girl in several public places including bus stations and railway stations. The police also activated the informer system that finally revealed that the girl was in Delhi. The officials said that the girl was recovered from Laxmi Nagar area of Delhi on Tuesday. The girl stated on inquiry that she left the suicide note and ran from home because of consistent nagging and scolding by her family members, said the police. The police have handed over the girl to her family.
