Doon School: Free education for meritorious yet poor students

In latest news from Doon, The Doon School-labelled as one of the 10 top-notch schools in India-has announced that it is going to provide free education to the meritorious students from economically unprivileged families on scholarship. The students, interested to avail this opportunity, are to apply via the school’s official website www.doonschool.com/dsse/ for just Rs 100. The entrance exam will be held on July 14 and it will comprise four subjects-English, Mathematics, Case Studies and Reasoning. The students who will pass the entrance exam will be called for interview slated on October 6. Thereafter, the final selection will be done.
The school management further said that depending on the economic condition of the students, the scholarship meant for students may be hiked from 20 to 120 per cent.
As per the school’s announcement, the students aspiring for admission to Class VII must be aged 11 to 12 years as on September 30 2024 and those aspiring for Class VIII admission must be aged 12 to 13 years as on September 30 2024.
