With most parts of the State, especially in the plains, witnessing a rise in temperatures, the provisional State capital Dehradun is expected to get hotter today. The State meteorological centre has forecast that the maximum temperature is likely to be about three degrees above normal in Dehradun on Sunday. The meteorological centre has forecast that Dehradun will witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky today with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively. The meteorological centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in all districts of the State today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 33.2 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35 degrees Celsius and 11.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.2 degrees Celsius and 9.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23 degrees Celsius and 10.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
