Doon University declares result of entrance test for UG and PG courses

The Doon University has recently declared the results of the entrance examination for enrollment in under-graduate and post-graduate courses for the academic year 2024-2025. According to university registrar MS Mandrawal, the entrance examination took place on June 15 to facilitate the enrollment of students in these programmes. He added that out of approximately 2,800 registered students, 2,200 successfully passed the examination. The university currently offers 800 seats for under-graduate courses and 600 seats for post-graduate courses. Following the examination results, a merit list will be prepared, with 1,400 students being selected for the 22 programmes available, encompassing both under-graduate and post-graduate courses, he said.
The registrar further said that the university will publish the merit list on the Doon University website on July 1. Regarding the admission procedures, he said that the university will initiate the admission process from July 11 which will continue till July 20 after releasing the merit list. He emphasised that students must ensure to bring essential documents including high school and intermediate mark sheets, migration certificate, domicile certificate and categorisation certificate during the admission process.
Mandrawal further stated that the university has recently launched three new certificate courses, one of which is a Master of Science (MSc) in Urban Development Management. This initiative aims to promote youth involvement in urban development. Currently, 11 students have enrolled in the two-year MSc programme out of the 25 available seats. Mandrawal said that the remaining seats will soon be filled through counselling sessions with other students.
