As part of Swachchh Bharat Mission, the students of National Cadet Corps (NCC) of Doon University have launched “Puneet Sagar Abhiyan ” to clean sewage of the water bodies. Led by ANO, NCC of Doon University Lt Smita Tripathi, the NCC students of the university started the first phase of the Puneet Sagar Abhiyan-2023 on Tuesday. Under the campaign the students would clean sewage and other water bodies, including rivers, of plastic and other waste materials.
Tripathi said that the main objective of the campaign is to educate and motivate the local people to clean the rivers. “This will also sensitize them about the importance of Swachchh Bharat mission. In the first phase of the campaign, about 60 NCC cadets are participating,” she added.
