Doon University releases second merit list for UG & PG courses

The Doon University has released the second merit list for under -graduate and post graduate courses. The admission process for students on the second list will take place over two days- July 15 and 18. The university’s registrar MS Mandrawal informed that the first merit list had already been declared, but some students did not enroll for admission. He added that about 700 students took admission based on the first merit list. To fill the remaining seats, the university has now released the second merit list on the university’s website. He further informed that about 190 students have been included in the second merit list for admissions to under-graduate and post graduate courses. He added that upon the release of the second merit list, students are welcome to visit the university to begin the admission process.  He said that the university will be closed on July 16 and 17 in observance of Harela and Moharram, respectively. Mandrawal emphasised the importance of students arriving at the university on the specified dates for admission. He added that students who arrive after the designated admission dates will not be allowed to enroll at the university unless they have a valid reason.

Notably, the university has recently declared the first merit list of students to enroll in under-graduate and post graduate courses. In the initial merit list, the name of a total of 687 students have been included, comprising 227 students from across India, 248 from Uttarakhand, 88 from scheduled castes, 18 from scheduled tribes, 88 from other backward classes and 18 from the economically weaker section. Further, in the post graduate category, a total of 74 students have made it to the merit list, out of which 33 are from various parts of India, 33 from Uttarakhand, three from scheduled castes, one from scheduled tribes and two each from other backward classes and economically weaker sections.
