Doon’s minimum temp dips down to 4.8 degrees Celsius

With the mercury dropping across Uttarakhand resulting in snowfall in the high-altitude regions, the Meteorological department warned that cold wave is likely to occur at isolated places in Udham Singh Nagar district. Besides, ground frost is likely to occur at isolated places over a number of districts, including Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Tehri, Nainital, Almora, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. There is, however, no possibility of rain anywhere in the State and dry weather will prevail for the next 24 hours. As per the Met officers, the temperature may dip further in the coming days.
Dehradun recorded the minimum temperature of 4.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning while these were 2. 4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 3.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 4.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
Dehradun is likely to experience mist and the maximum temperature may remain in the neighbourhood of 22 degrees Celsius.
