Now only 997 active Covid-19 cases in U’khand
10723 people vaccinated in 160 vaccine sessions across the state on Wednesday.
In a clear indication that the pandemic of the Covid-19 is on the wane in Uttarakhand, the number of active cases came below the one thousand mark on Wednesday. The state now has only 997 active cases of the pandemic left.
The state health department reported 54 new cases of the disease on Wednesday which increased the tally of patients in the state to 96281. The department also reported the death of four patients of the pandemic on the day after which the death toll from the disease mounted to 1655 in the state. The authorities discharged 95 patients from different hospitals of the state after their recovery. A total of 92280 patients have so far recovered from the disease in the state.
One patient of Covid-19 each was reported dead from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani, Mahant Indiresh hospital and Himalayan hospital Dehradun.
The authorities reported 22 new patients from Dehradun, 11 each from Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar, eight from Haridwar and one each from Uttarkashi and Chamoli. No new patient was reported from Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Tehri on the day.
Dehradun has 160 active patients while Nainital has 152 and Haridwar 147 active patients. Bageshwar has 126, Almora, 101, Udham Singh Nagar 95, Pithoragarh 67, Tehri 52, Pauri 30, Uttarkashi 21, Rudraprayag 19, Chamoli 15 and Champawat 12 active patients of the disease.
Meanwhile 10723 people were vaccinated in 160 vaccine sessions held in different parts of the state on Wednesday. This is the highest number of vaccinations done in a single day since the drive started on January 16. A total of 53953 people have been vaccinated in 870 sessions held in the state so far.
