In latest Uttarakhand news, the general manager (human resources) of the Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PTCUL) Asok Kumar Juyal has issued an order, prohibiting the staff members of the company from coming to office being clad in casual dresses like t-shirts, jeans and sports shoes. They must be properly dressed in compliance with the company’s dress code. As per the dress code, while the male officers/employees must wear formal trousers, formal shirts and leather shoes the women employees must be attired in sarees or salwar suits. The order further said that while attending meetings with the administration or government departments, the officers and employees must be attired in accordance with the dress code. PTCUL officers attending important meetings while dressed casually denigrate the company’s image, the order said.
