While replying to the media queries during his Lohaghat tour, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that providing pure drinking water to the people of Lohaghat town is his government’s primary responsibility. He further said that a drinking water project for the town would be taken up and executed.
Notably, Jal Sansthan has been supplying water from Lohawati river to the people of Lohaghat as drinking water. Besides, Jal Sansthan supplies drinking water to the people of Lohaghat only for 15 days in a month. The people say that drinking such water, the people get afflicted with dreaded diseases like Polio and Typhoid.
