In latest news from Uttarakhand, in a significant success in course of its ongoing drive against narcotics in the district, police arrested a drug peddler and recovered three kg four gram cannabis worth around Rs six lakhs in the international market from him near J P Pool in Mori. The arrested drug peddler was identified as Jasbir Singh Rana hailing from Sigra village in Mori block. Sharing details, the district superintendent of police (SP) Arpan Yaduvanshi said that the accused had admitted to having prepared the narcotics himself with an intention of selling them in the Terai region at exorbitant prices. The SP further said that Rana had been nabbed under the NDPS Act and added that they were looking for the accused’s accomplices and the suppliers. He further said that they were trying their best to make the district drug-free.
